He is excellent with children, understands the rigors and requirements of serious ballet since he was a former principal/soloist at San Francisco Ballet. He builds confidence in all of the students, brings them to their highest potential in a positive yet challenging atmosphere and the students all love him! In 2006, thirty of his students came home with Gold medals from various dance competitions in the Bay Area. Every year around the Labor Day Weekend, he has a magnificent 3 hour recital. The choreography is exceptional and the student's performances astounding! I was so impressed, I enrolled my daughter the following week.”

“I am a parent of a dancer who's been attending Ming-Hai Wu School of Ballet for almost 10 years. My daughter is shy, but Mr. Wu provided amazing opportunities for her to shine on stage to dance solo performances every year! There are many ballet studios in the bay area. However, the reason Ming-Hai Wu School of Ballet stood out from the rest is the teacher himself, Mr. Ming-Hai Wu. Mr. Wu teaches every single class, whether it's a group lesson, semi-private, or private lessons, he is there with each student. Without a doubt, he is demanding as an instructor because he wants students to strive for their best. Not only does Mr. Wu offers individual attention to the dancers who are respectful and diligent to their learning, he puts on an incredible Gala Show with over 60 performances to showcase his students' hard work every year! He choreographs many classical and modern ballet himself. I am just in awe each time when I watch his dances. No student is a "little mouse" of a once a year holiday performance or a backup character on stage that you can't tell where your child is! Every student is a STAR! Each dancer gets a chance to do at least one solo on stage! I am proud of my daughter's perseverance in continuing with ballet all these years, but we really owe this to Ming-Hai Wu School of Ballet! Ballet is a beautiful and classy art form that only for those who can endure challenges and focus in learning. I highly recommend this school for those who loves ballet!”
